Dear Vincent Massey families,

We welcomed staff and students back after Spring Break to not very spring-like weather at all, but students and staff got right into the learning and activities. Here are some highlights!

This week we had many students partake in offsite experiential learning.

Band Camp at Camp Kindle was attended by over 120 of our students this week! A huge thank you to Mr. Morawski for planning and leading this offsite activity for so many students. Thank you to the following teachers that supervised the trip as well, Ms. Smith, Ms. Greendale, Ms. Clark, Ms. Borrelli and Mr. Malloy. Thank you also to our parent volunteers and our Music Parent Association for their support of this trip!

Westcoast Sailing set voyage on A Fine Madness (name of the tall ship) this week. A huge thank you to Ms. Lima for planning and leading this offsite activity with the support of Mr. Pugh

We look forward to students sharing all the learning joys and adventures upon their return.

Athletics

The Badminton season has begun. Thank you to all the teachers that volunteer their time to make this opportunity possible. Tryouts have been well attended at all 3 grade levels. Please see the school website's calendar for further details throughout the season.

Grade 6 Tours / Community Open House 2:00 - 3:30pm Friday April 10

Vincent Massey staff and students are preparing to host our incoming grade six students from our feeder schools next Friday. These tours are organized in partnership with our elementary feeder schools and occur during the school day (9:30 - 11:30AM).

That afternoon at 2:00 - 3:30PM, we welcome community members and families to come and see what our junior high has to offer the incoming students and families as well. Please spread the word to families you know that will be joining Vincent Massey next year. We look forward to this chance to connect and get to know our new families.
