Dear Vincent Massey Families,
As we come to the end of December and close out the first months of this school year, I want to extend our sincere gratitude to all families with a special thanks to our parent association for their generous support of our final day of learning before the break.
Thanks to their support, students enjoyed a day of creativity, curiosity, and shared experiences. Our Grade 7 students took on the challenge of prototyping Santa’s Sleigh—testing whether candy could make it all the way down the zip line—while others engaged in a 1900s-themed “Name That Tune” activity. Alongside these experiences were many other opportunities for collaboration, problem-solving, and joyful learning, capped off with chips and other snacks supplied by council that were very much appreciated by all of our students.
We look forward to seeing students again, Monday January 5th. As a reminder, families are encouraged to check our school website calendar regularly for updates on upcoming events, including Volleyball start-up, Band activities, and other important dates in the weeks ahead.
As we say goodbye to the first months of this school year, we are reflective of the learning, energy, and enthusiasm that fill our school each day. Looking ahead to 2026, we do so with optimism and intention—grounded in learning, with student growth and wellbeing as our focus.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We wish you a restful and joyful break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, January 5th.
Sincerely,
Meghann Springett
Assistant Principal
