Dear Vincent Massey families, 

Our School Council AGM was held this past Wednesday. Raylene Anderson was elected Chair once again, with Jacqueline Cornett-Ching as Vice-Chair and Heather Thompson as Secretary. Thank you to these parents and everyone who attended this important event. The Vincent Massey Parent Association AGM has been tentatively rescheduled for November 5. 

As you are all no doubt aware, the Alberta Teacher's Association is currently going on strike beginning Monday, October 6. This means that all classes will be cancelled and all transportation will be cancelled. Do not send your child to school on Monday. The Labour Action page on the CBE website contains information and updates will be posted there. 

Please note that all off-site and athletic activities scheduled for the month of October have been cancelled. This includes band camp and all outdoor leadership trips. After the conclusion of the labour action, we will look to reschedule events when possible, but our priority will be returning to classroom learning routines.
