Weekly Update - December 11
Dear Vincent Massey community members,
The Winter Break is two weeks away and, looking out my office window, I see winter is finally arriving in full force!
Yesterday, we again encouraged students to take advantage of the wide variety of clubs and gym activities that are available in different locations during the lunch break. Fresh air outside is also an option and helps keep our hallways a quiet and calm space.
On Monday, we start our second trimester (yes, we are already one third of the way through the year!) Students will start the day in homeroom to receive their new schedules for options and PE.
On Thursday, we welcome you to our Winter Concert. Band students should arrive between 5:45 and 6pm. The event starts at 6:30pm and is very much open to all community members. Attendance is free.
There have been many music events over these past weeks and we are very proud of our bands. At the same time, we have a vibrant Fine Arts program in other areas and strong complementary programming. We will be showcasing these through a gala night in the spring – dates to be confirmed. Meanwhile, if you are in the school, please check out the amazing work of our young artists in the updated main hallway displays.
Thank you for your continued support. Stay safe and warm this weekend!
Sincerely,
David Pugh
Principal
